Finding Your Path - Getting Back To You
These days, it can be pretty easy to find ourselves tired, distracted and in pain. We’re so busy anymore! More than one person has commented to me recently that it seems the pace of life accelerates yearly. What used to seem like a year can sometimes only feel like a few weeks or days. In the midst of this accelerated pace, it seems difficult at times to go more than a minute without coming face to face with some aspect if reality that isn’t comfortable or appealing. If you find this happening to you, congratulations! This is an important signpost along the way to knowing the truth of who you are.
Granted, these experiences can feel frustrating at times, particularly if we forget who we are as essence. We all have had times when we forget that we are all one, all together, and we’re all trying our best to be happy. When life is viewed from that perspective, it’s easier to remember what counts – things like love, peace, friendship, and joy.
So when faced with one of these frustrating experiences, how do we get that perspective of unity and compassion back? The truth is that it is always available to us, and it’s not about trying harder, studying better, improving one’s self, or taking any other external action. It’s about being (and being aware of) who you truly are – and living the truth of who you are each day to the best of your ability. When you find yourself caught up in the seeming maelstrom of events, take a moment to sit, breathe, and be with yourself. What do you notice? You are not all those external things; you are the light observing it all. When you are able to take a few minutes each day observing yourself in quiet solitude, you will more easily be able to see that at your center is a core of compassion, truth, peace and love. Increasingly you will be more easily able to let that shine through, even in what appears to be the most difficult circumstance. And, just think! Every time you sit in this quiet space and just be, you are joining in with countless other sensitive souls to help each other and the planet take a step forward. Not a bad deal!
It takes a decision to come back to this quiet gentle place, but it is well worth the commitment. Be kind to yourself and enjoy – it’s truly a wonderful ride!
Namaste!

A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose, by Eckhart Tolle
Eckhart Tolle’s new book is a wonderfully transformational read, whether you are just feeling the stirrings of your awakening spirituality or you have been walking a path of light for a while. It is one of those rare works that sheds precious light on some of our most deeply held concepts and simultaneously helps free the reader to become more their true essence. While he delves deeply into some of our collective and individual issues, he does so in a way that is rejuvenating and uplifting. A true masterpiece and a wonderful read for those seeking to focus on and manifest the deepest truth of reality: love.
Realms of the Earth Angels, by Doreen Virtue, PhD
In this small pocket paperback, Doreen has amassed a very good list of various orders of beings that have agreed to incarnate on Earth as stewards of the increase in consciousness that we are collectively taking. For those who feel sensitive, a yearning to heal the Earth, but don’t quite feel like you belong, check this book out! Filled with quizzes and practical information about incarnated angels, elementals, and other beings, I found this book to be very helpful in the quest to know and recognize different types of beings. You might even find yourself in these pages - a very fun read!
